THE OPPORTUNITY

DJ Air & Electrical Services has an exciting opportunity for a Utility Services Coordinator to join our team based in Nauiyu, NT. (Daly River)

As a USC you will be responsible for facilitating the safe and continuous supply of power, water and sewerage services. You will have daily, weekly and monthly tasks including but not limited to compound maintenance, water quality testing, diesel generator serving and meter reading.

As the successful candidate you will be able to liaise with a wide range of community members and visitors in a potentially demanding role. An understanding of the operations of communities and local government and the requirements of the NT Local Government Act and Power & Water procedures would also be beneficial, as would a good knowledge of hands-on service delivery in remote Aboriginal communities.

However, no prior knowledge or experience is necessary to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertake all aspects of the essential services role and additional duties as required

Complete water sampling and testing

Complete electrical and water meter reads

Perform regular compound maintenance

Provide completed paperwork weekly, including work orders and risk assessments ensuring to meet company deadlines

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE – or ability to obtain we supply assistance to complete any courses required.

NT Driver’s Licence

Construction Induction Card (White Card

Strong, effective communication skills (written & verbal)

High level of attention to detail

Past experience and record of reliability – Two work related references required

Must provide/ be willing and able to obtain a criminal history check

Must provide/ be willing and able to obtain Working with Children Clearance

Desired not required to start.

Operate Breathing Apparatus

Monitor and Operate Hypochlorite Disinfection Processes
