$47.50/hr flat + daily allowances | 53 hrs per week (Mon-Fri)

Our client is delivering critical Defence infrastructure in Darwin and is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join their team. This is a long-term opportunity for an operator who prides themselves on precision, safety, and working in highly regulated environments.

The Role

You'll be operating excavators on a Defence base project, with a strong focus on working safely around Public Utility Plant (PUP) - the underground network of essential services including electricity cables, gas pipelines, and water pipes.

Attractive Rate - $47.50/hr flat across a 53-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Daily Allowances - Meal and travel allowances paid in addition to your hourly rate.

Consistent Hours - 53 hours per week with steady, long-term project security.

Key Responsibilities

Operate excavators safely and efficiently on a Defence base site.

Perform detailed excavation works around PUP infrastructure (electricity, gas, water).

Follow site-specific safety protocols, including Defence base compliance requirements.

Work collaboratively with supervisors and ground crews to maintain project timelines.

About You

Proven experience as an excavator operator on large civil or infrastructure projects.

Demonstrated competency and caution working around Public Utility Plant (PUP).

White Card and relevant plant operating tickets (RII or equivalent).

Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict procedures.

Defence base experience highly regarded but not essential.
