THE OPPORTUNITY

A unique opportunity has become available for an experienced, energetic Electrician based in the remote area of Wadeye. The position is full time for immediate start.

As a highly motivated and qualified A-Grade Electrician you will be based in Wadeye and required to drive to various sites and locations. Work includes but not limited to; refurbishments, new builds, general repairs & maintenance throughout local businesses as well as government department dwellings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertake all aspects of the Electrical Trade, including reactive and planned maintenance tasks

Test for, locate and repair electrical malfunctions

Install electrical and electronic control systems

Assemble electrical and electronic components and appliances

Connect electrical equipment to power supplies

Install insulated cables and connect switches, outlets and other fittings; connect circuit breakers, transformers, motors, heaters and other electrical equipment

Provide completed paperwork weekly, including work orders and risk assessments ensuring to meet company deadlines

Completion of test and tag requirements.

Complete an provide compliance certificates when required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years' experience in general electrical work

Own tools

NT A Grade Electrical Licence

NT Driver's Licence

Construction Induction Card (White Card

Strong, effective communication skills (written & verbal)

High level of attention to detail

Past experience and record of reliability – Two work related references required

Must provide/ be willing and able to obtain a criminal history check

Must provide/ be willing and able to obtain Working with Children Clearance
