Qualifications & experience
Previous experience in a similar customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry is preferred, experience in the Quest brand is much preferred
High level of communication in English is essential to effectively interact with guests from different cultural backgrounds, both verbally and written
Demonstrated willingness and capability to learn about hotel operations, policies, and procedures
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to finding solutions and resolving guest issues
Ability to adapt to various situations and remain calm under pressure, ensuring professionalism and guest satisfaction
Basic proficiency with computers and office tools to perform reception-related tasks efficiently, previous experience with RMS is preferred
Friendly and approachable demeanour, with strong customer service skills and a helpful and accommodating attitude towards guest requests
Tasks & responsibilities
Utilise your excellent communication skills to greet and interact with guests warmly, to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere at the reception, and making guests feel valued and comfortable throughout their stay
Demonstrate a willingness and capability to learn about our hotel's facilities, procedures, services, and local attractions, allowing you to provide detailed information and recommendations to guests
Exhibit problem-solving skills by handling guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a prompt and professional manner
Efficiently handle reservation management, including accurately inputting and updating guest reservations into the hotel's system.
Adapt to different situations and find effective solutions to ensure guest satisfaction and enhance their overall experience
Utilize basic computer skills and office tools to perform various reception duties, including guest registration, check-in/check-out procedures, and reservations handling
Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate guest requests, such as housekeeping, maintenance and management
Maintain composure and handle pressure with grace, demonstrating professionalism even during busy or challenging periods
