We’re on the lookout for a practical, service orientated and solutions-focused Project Manager with a strong Mechanical engineering background to join a company that designs, builds, and installs custom machinery across a range of industrial sectors. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of mechanical machinery projects, from the planning phase through to delivery. You’ll work closely with clients, workshop staff, and external contractors to ensure timelines, budgets, and technical specifications are met.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage mechanical project activities including procurement, installation, and support
• Interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate implementation on-site
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered
• Coordinate with fabricators, installers, and other technical trades
• Monitor project schedules and resolve delays or roadblocks efficiently
• Assist in quality checks, documentation, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Prior experience in mechanical or industrial machinery projects (ideally 10+ years)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate teams or suppliers
• Solid interpersonal skills and a proactive, reliable attitude
• Willingness to visit customer or workshop sites when required
