About Destec Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a fast-growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening and materials handling to the mining industry.

We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites. Additionally we provide ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia.

About the role
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our workshop team based in Bibra Lake. With opportunity to assist on occasion with our mines site based FIFO shutdowns, and site coverage. This role is for someone who loves variety of work, as no day is the same in our workshop.

Hours: Monday to Friday (10 hours) Saturday (6 hours) - 56 hours per week

Rates: Full Time + Leave Entitlements
Ordinary Time $43.00
Time & Half $64.50
Double Time $86.00

To be successful in this role you will have:

• An appropriate Australian Mechanical Fitter or related qualification
• Experience and knowledge of fixed plant components, such as crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and chutes, hydraulics etc.
• WA Drivers Licence.
• Ability to interpret drawings, instructions and ability to do workshop fitting.
• Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving and be able to work in a team environment.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Ability to provide a national police clearance
