Airwell Group is a specialist water pump manufacturer, and a water pumping services and solutions company that has been providing specialist products and services to the mining, environmental, industrial and agricultural sectors for over 30 years.

Due to growing onsite pump installation and service work volumes we are seeking an experienced mechanical fitter to undertake onsite work activities. The large majority of this work is located in the Perth metro and does not require being away from home overnight however, by agreement, some occasional short term FIFO type work is available.

When not working onsite you will undertake workshop-based activities to repair and or service pumping equipment, machinery or other activities required.

To be considered for this role, you must hold or have:

Essential

Relevant trade certificate or able to demonstrate your experience in undertaking tasks of a mechanical fitter type role.

Ability to interpret drawings and designs.

Able to work independently or as part of a team.

Have a safety-first work mentality.

Possess good communication and computer skills.

A desire to meet or exceed client expectations.

Current valid manual driver's licence for site vehicle operation.

Highly Desirable:

Experience in pump manufacture/service/repair industry

Excellent time management skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet time frames and deadlines

Understanding and accepting changes to priorities and work schedules

First Aid Certificate.

HR or MR truck, LF, CV and DG High risk licences desirable.

Applicants should also:

Be prepared to adhere to all Airwell Group and its' client's site safety requirements, regulations and policies.

Complete all site work and safety documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Be able to pass all medicals & Drug and Alcohol screening at any time.

Be physically fit and able to carry out manual handling activities as required.

Have full Australian work rights or valid work visa with no restrictions.

Key Activities:

Installs and assembles pumps and other mechanical devices and products.

Undertake manufacture of parts, assembly and testing of products to ensure high levels of quality are maintained.

Undertake Airwell pump installation and commissioning activities.

Undertake onsite or workshop pump and (other) equipment maintenance and servicing as required.

Understand and comply with Airwell Group Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, policies and procedures.

Take an active role in maintaining a safe work environment by identifying potential hazards, report hazards and taking or assisting with eliminating or minimising ongoing risks.

Support the Production Manager with all required work deliverables as assigned.

Complete all operational record keeping documentation and storage as required.

Provide, training and support to other staff as required.
