Mechanical Fitter – Diagnostic & Repair (In-House Equipment / CNC Machines)
Location: Bayswater, WA

Our client is a leading manufacturer of conveyor components for the mining sector, with a focus on quality, reliability and continuous improvement through lean manufacturing.

Their Bayswater facility houses a range of CNC and conventional machinery used to produce pulleys, rollers and frames that support some of the largest mining operations across Australia.

This role is part of the maintenance team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all in-house equipment, with a particular focus on CNC and mechanical plant reliability.

Key responsibilities
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on CNC machines, presses, rollers and other workshop plant
• Undertake preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and component rebuilds
• Support continuous improvement and machine reliability programs
• Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain safe operating standards
• Record maintenance activities and contribute to developing and improving maintenance procedures

About you
• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
• Experience maintaining workshop equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills
