The Opportunity
We are seeking a competent, reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our expanding team, based in Naval Base, WA.
You will be required to work well within a team environment as well as autonomously completing assigned work scopes.
Your Skills and Qualifications
You would be expected to:
Be experienced with drilling reaming and bearing surface scraping.
Be experienced in alignment of drive shafts, bearings, pulleys, drive chains, gear boxes etc.
Read and interpret drawings of various detail.
Be willing to assist in apprentice training and supervision as required.
Be a confident tradesperson with a good understanding of industry requirements.
Have an excellent understanding of general machining practices
Essential:
Own transport and hold a current C Class WA driver's license.
A Relevant Trade Certificate
White card
EWP
Working at Heights
Forklift License
Pass site health and drug tests
Permanent Australian resident
