They specialise in hiring out pumps, generators, compressors and other construction equipment with a reputation for hiring high quality equipment with a meticulous maintenance schedule. All equipment is serviced to the highest of standards to ensure your customers receive quality product which looks and runs as new.
This national business has a significant presence with branches across the East of Coast of Australia. Family-owned so you can have a cup of coffee with the boss, yet large enough that you have a great team to work with.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in the business by growing the pumps division of the business. It is Sales and Business Development Role where your focus lies on targeting new customers, with a hint of account management of existing customers to get you going when you join.
You will sell the service of hiring out pumps. These are all specialist pumps. Examples include submersible pumps, mining pumps, skid pumps, trailer pumps ranging from 3" to 12" in size. Whilst you have the option to hire out other equipment, the focus of your role is pumps.
You will target a wide variety of markets across Newcastle, Hunter and Sydney although the majority of customers in these industries are based in the Hunger Region.
Market segments to target include Mining, Quarries, Construction, Waste Water, Councils and the list goes on. There is no limit on the type of customers you could target - you decide.
About You
Proven sales experience in an autonomous hunter role where you have targeted new business and successfully secured new clients and/or won projects
Understanding of the sales cycle and process
Technical understanding of pumps and their applications is essential
Experience in either sales, hire or maintenance of pumps
Prior experience in the hire industry is ideal as this is a fast paced environment. If you prefer slow sales process, this role is not for you. However, if you can demonstrate you have what it takes and proven new business sales experience selling to mining, quarries and construction, you may be considered!

Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Good customer rapport and relationship building skills
Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.
Salary
On offer is a competitive salary dependant on experience.
PLUS Unlimited commission (paid monthly) in addition to a competitive base salary
Commission is based on a % of sales, unlimited, so you can truly earn some serious $$ if you enjoy hunting for new business and are prepared to work in a faced paced environment. In this role, you should easily be earning over $150,000 per year including commissions. Some of our BDMs are exceeding these numbers.
