About the role
As a Medical Scientist, you will play a vital role in supporting high-quality diagnostic services by applying your scientific knowledge and technical expertise. Working as part of a collaborative laboratory team, you will undertake a variety of routine diagnostic techniques while contributing to the planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of results. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills further, as you actively participate in problem-solving and the ongoing delivery of safe, reliable, and timely laboratory outcomes that make a direct difference to patient care.

About You
You will be a motivated and committed Medical Scientist with a strong scientific foundation and the ability to contribute effectively to a busy diagnostic laboratory. Your blend of technical expertise, teamwork, and initiative will ensure you deliver high-quality outcomes while continuing to develop your professional skills.
Hold a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent, with knowledge of laboratory principles, practices, and quality procedures.
Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic testing and operate analytical laboratory equipment, with sound troubleshooting and computing skills.
Strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive and organised, with proven time management and problem-solving skills to meet workload targets, ensure accuracy, and support continuous improvement.
