About the role

Carbide Tools' is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Wangara, WA. As our Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our accounting processes.

What you'll be doing

Performing daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries

Preparing and processing payroll for our employees, including onboarding

Generating financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

BAS preparation and submission

Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and liaising with external accountants and auditors

Providing administrative support to the team

Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve financial controls

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business

Understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounting software (Vision would be prefered but not essential), and financial reporting

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite

Strong organisational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping) are highly desirable
