Vinesmith City Cellar Door is seeking an experienced Demi Chef de Partie/Chef de Partie with a passion for French cuisine and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within our kitchen team.

About us: Vinesmith City Cellar Door is the newest addition to the Vinesmith group, whose Blue Pyrenees and Glenlofty Estate vineyards produce some of Victoria’s most iconic wines.

This vibrant and innovative new setting, located at 1 Flinders Lane, combines a Restaurant, Wine Bar, and Cellar Door within a contemporary space designed by international architects Denton Corker Marshall. It offers an outstanding fine dining experience to complement our exceptional wine portfolio.

About the role:

· Prepare and cook our French menu to the highest consistent standards to delight our guests.

· Assist with the set up and organisation of kitchen areas and equipment.

· Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and clean environment.

· Communicate closely with the team to deliver a consistent food experience.

· Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, to deliver exceptional guest experience.

About you:

· Experience in a fast-paced kitchen team.

· Experience in French restaurant will be highly regarded

· At least 2 years of experience in an a la carte kitchen environment of equivalent standard.

· Passion for technic driven cooking using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

· Sound understanding of food safety and hygienic practices.

· Attention to detail, and able to prepare consistent high-quality plates.

· Ability to take on tasks, grow your knowledge and develop your skills.

· Reliable and able to commit to allocated shifts across a roster.

· Positive attitude committed to delivering high quality consistent dishes.

· Willing to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts.
