About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated chef to take the next step in their career and contribute to a high-performing and supportive team environment.
As Chef de Partie, you will:
• Prepare and cook dishes across all sections of the kitchen to a consistently high standard
• Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver menus that highlight fresh, seasonal produce
• Assist in maintaining smooth kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, and cleaning schedules
• Keep stock in optimum condition, participate in regular stock takes, and assist with inventory management
• Maintain cost control systems within your area of responsibility, ensuring resources are used effectively
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Support and mentor apprentices and junior kitchen staff
• Contribute to the positive culture of our kitchen team through collaboration and professionalism
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification)
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie (or strong experience as a Demi Chef ready to step up)
• A passion for delivering high-quality, well-presented dishes
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
