Davis Recruitment is a specialist agency for the placement of Permanent Support Staff to the Medical/Healthcare Sector.

Our Specialist client is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their team based at the St Vincent's Hospital Chermside.

This position is full-time (5 days) for a group of Specialist Surgeons. The practice opening hours are 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Thursdays and Friday 8.30am-4.00pm. This role is a permanent full-time position as a floater role to cover and assist other staff with clinics/phones/admin duties on RDO’s, annual and sick leave, as well as with overflow work. Parking is provided onsite as well as an excellent hourly rate! We are looking for a team player who has experience as a Medical Receptionist/Secretary but doesn’t mind every week helping a different clinicians clinic/staff members leave. The phones run hot so excellent phone manner a must!

This role is an opportunity to be valued but the whole group enjoying no two weeks being the same!

This role will involve:

Answering phone calls and appointment schedule management (using STAT)

Running clinics for a variety of clinicians

Processing patient payments and digitising patient records

Surgery quoting/ Organising theatre lists as required

Proofreading/editing medical reports produced with AI and sending out to referring doctors if needed

The skills we seek:

Ability to work cooperatively within a large team and individuals but also autonomously

Ability to manage the schedule of a practice with busy Surgeons with compassion and care

Excellent attention to detail and reliability

Excellent communication, organisation skills and flexibility to keep up with the changes to daily tasks needed

Excellent phone manner and ability to run a switchboard when required.

STAT or similar knowledge highly regarded

Experience working within a busy specialist practice is ideal!

Salary: Commensurate with Skills but expected to commence at $ 41/hr plus Super - based on experience. Onsite car parking is provided.
