About the Opportunity
At PMHC, every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this, we seek a dedicated Telemetry Services Coordinator to lead our Telemetry Services Team within Utilities Operations.
The successful applicant will guide a team, foster collaboration and accountability while overseeing the safe and compliant delivery of telemetry services across water, wastewater and other Council assets. From SCADA and PLC systems to data communications and instrumentation, you will ensure reliability, optimisation and continuous improvement in support of critical community infrastructure.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III or higher in Electrical, Control or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the management of telemetry systems, including SCADA, PLC programming, instrumentation and data communications.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising, coaching and developing staff.
- Demonstrated experience in preventative and corrective maintenance programs, compliance systems and process optimisation.
- Well-developed skills in contract and project management, including procurement activities.
- High-level communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare reports and technical documentation.
- Developed computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
On a typical day this role will:
- Lead and coordinate the Telemetry Services team and contractors to ensure the safe, reliable and compliant operation of Council's telemetry systems.
- Review and implement maintenance, optimisation and renewal programs for SCADA, PLC, data communications and instrumentation infrastructure.
- Manage compliance requirements including licencing, safety systems, and cyber security audits.
- Provide technical expertise for utilities projects, including reviewing designs, project workshops and commissioning.
- Manage documentation, databases and reporting to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to budgets and financial planning to ensure value for money.
- Promote safe working practices, complete WHS inspections and develop Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in telemetry systems and processes.
- Participate in PMHC's after hours on-call roster
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
Starting salary of $97,130.47 to $108,719.03 per annum depending on skills and experience, plus 12% Super and on call allowance.
This role also qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle allowances
