Our client is an established, Brisbane focused contractor with a specialism in delivering D&C industrial, retail and commercial building, fit-out and refurbishment projects throughout Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast the Gold Coast. Due to a heavy workload and 2 x recently secured additional projects from repeat business clients – a fast food restaurant and child care center (both located on the North side of Brisbane) this building contractor seeks to hire a construction Project Manager with previous, demonstrable success with mid-tier construction and refurbishment contractors in Australia.

In this position you will be reporting to the QLD Construction Manager, with a team in place under your management, you will be solely responsible for the delivery of 2 build projects, valued at approx. $3.5M (a fast food restaurant) and $5M (child care Centre). You will direct & supervise a wide cross section of sub-contractors and be proficient programming and budgeting. You will have a sound contractual understanding and importantly you will be required to utilize your excellent communication & interpersonal skills to liase with clients and architects, whilst continually representing the company in a professional manner.

To be suitable for this position it is anticipated that you will possess the following;

Ideally a degree in Construction Management or similar tertiary qualification.

Will have worked in the construction industry for a minimum of 5-10 years, progressing through to a Project Manager

As a Project Manager will have delivered commercial, retail and industrial projects upto and in excess of $10M.

Will have strong contractual acumen

Will have worked for established, systems driven contractors in Brisbane

Will have worked with established costing and programming systems such as Procore, Jobpac, CHEOPS, MS Projects, Aconex, Hammertech

Will be Brisbane based
