Senior Service Manager - Universal Aftercare

- Full-Time, Permanent Position
- Classification: SCHADS Level 7 with a salary range of $119,212 - $124,192 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role
Perth Universal aftercare provides compassionate, holistic psychosocial support to people who have experienced a suicidal crisis or attempt. This is a new service and exciting opportunity for the Senior Service Manager to lead service establishment and operationalisation.
The Senior Service Manager will operate under limited direction and exercise managerial responsibility and development for multiple service functions and contracts and/or a significant single site program with a large workforce. The role will work collaboratively with partners including WAPHA, the Mental Health Commission and referring hospitals to develop and improve the overall service response to consumers. The Senior Service Manager will also undertake a key role in service development, evaluation and review of service outcomes and wider organisational initiatives/projects.
The position will work closely with the Senior Manager Operations on service strategy, implementation, sustainability and growth, and the achievement of key performance indicators for these services.
The Senior Service Manager will oversee program service sites at Burswood, Rockinghamd and Joondalup and provide staff management, service leadership and practice development. This position will manage the delivery of the best possible comprehensive service to consumers by supporting and building capacity of the program workforce and providing direct support to consumers as required
In Universal Aftercare the teams of Clinicians, Community Care Coordinators and Community Care Coordinators-Lived Experience in the program provide empathy and non-judgemental connection during this difficult time to people and their families and carers. Universal Aftercare is delivered in the form of assertive outreach in the community for a
period of up to three months. People accessing the program receive individually tailored support to people to connect them to both clinical and community-based services to meet their needs, while also enhancing connection to supportive local networks such as family, friends, peers and carers.
Universal Aftercare focuses on promoting strength andresilience and improving the capacity of service participants to identify the drivers of distress, manage distress and improve overall wellbeing

What you will bring to the role
- Formal tertiary qualification in a related field and/or experience working in a relevant setting.
- Significant experience in a leadership or management role within a relevant sector.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate andempower team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to establish respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff and partner organisations.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Experience working within program speciality.
- Strong computer literacy and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead and oversee diverse service partnerships in benefit of program objectives.
- Project management expertise and experience.
- An ability to influence and bring diverse stakeholders together to address complex social issues
- A sound understanding of suicide and suicidality, risk factors and experience in working with people experiencing suicidality
- Demonstrated understanding of the value of, and integration of Lived Experience in Suicide Prevention and Mental Health
