Fountain is partnering with our client, a dynamic Labour Hire company, to recruit an experienced Payroll and Timesheet Clerk. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join a supportive team environment while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid working model.
About the Role
As the Payroll and Timesheet Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and timesheet data for a high volume workforce. You’ll liaise closely with site managers, contractors, and the finance team to maintain compliance and deliver exceptional payroll services. The role also includes a variety of administrative tasks that support smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll in line with relevant awards, EBAs, and legislation
Accurately enter, validate, and reconcile timesheets
Coordinate medicals for new starters and liaise with site teams to ensure required documentation is complete
Arrange occasional travel bookings including flights, accommodation, and hire cars
Respond to payroll and timesheet queries in a professional and timely manner
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Fair Work and taxation requirements
Assist with reporting, reconciliations, and end-of-month processes
Provide general administrative support within the payroll function
About You
Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll and/or timesheet processing, ideally in labour hire, construction, or similar industries
Strong knowledge of awards, EBAs, superannuation, and payroll legislation
Proven ability to manage high volume data with strong attention to detail
Proficient with payroll systems and MS Excel
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Comfortable in a multi-skilled role with general administration responsibilities
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
Relevant payroll qualifications or certifications are highly desirable
Benefits
Competitive salary package: $75,000 – $90,000 + superannuation
Hybrid working arrangement (Brisbane office and remote)
Full time or part time for the right person
