Payroll Officer | Central Brisbane

We’re currently partnering with a well-established organisation based in Central Brisbane seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, accuracy, and end-to-end responsibility in managing payroll for a medium-to-large workforce.

The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll. You’ll ensure compliance with awards, EBAs, and legislative requirements while delivering outstanding service to employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end payroll processing for weekly and fortnightly pay runs
• Interpretation of multiple awards and enterprise agreements
• Maintenance of employee records and payroll data integrity
• Processing new starters, terminations, and adjustments
• Superannuation, PAYG, and leave calculations
• Payroll reconciliations and end-of-month reporting
• Responding to employee payroll queries and providing exceptional service
• Assisting with audits, process improvements, and system enhancements

About You
You’re a detail-oriented payroll professional who prides yourself on accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality. You have a strong understanding of payroll legislation and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and communication are key.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in a full-function payroll position
• Strong understanding of Fair Work legislation, awards, and EBAs
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience using payroll systems
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
