Head Brewer – The Welder’s Dog Brewery (Armidale, NSW)

Salary: $75,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience and wholesale KPIs)

The Welder’s Dog is a proudly independent brewery with a strong, established reputation for quality and consistency. As we look to the future, we are seeking a new Head Brewer to lead our production, bring fresh ideas, and help shape the next chapter of our brewing journey.

This role offers the opportunity to work with autonomy, take ownership of a highly respected core range plus creative license over seasonal brews, and support to explore diversification into non-alcoholic products. You’ll be stepping into world-class brewing facilities with capacity to scale, and will be supported by an experienced team – including a long transition period alongside our current Head Brewer to ensure our standards remain uncompromisingly high.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Oversee day-to-day brewing operations with another brewer & general production team
- Innovate and develop seasonal and non-alc offerings, utilising our pilot system
- Maintain quality, consistency, and safety across all production
- Collaborate with our wider team on canning, maintenance, wholesale, and distribution
- Align with and champion our ICE Cool Ethos – Initiative, Connection, Enjoyment
