Senior/Lead Brewer

Having only advertised twice in 12 Years for a brewer's position, this is a great opportunity to join a high performing and respected small brewery. Working with the Owner and a small team of junior brewers and sales staff, you will drive our product first approach through continual process improvements, adoption of brewing ingredient advancements and driving brewery floor productivity.

Key Skills & Attributes

2 + yrs experience in a brewery with packaging and distribution

Experience using brewery management software

Experience with yeast management and analysis

Experience using a semi-automated brewhouse

Experience with canning lines and an understanding of packaging QA

Ability to add value to product development

Ability to build relationships with suppliers and the wider industry

Exceptional work ethic and an understanding that reward comes from hard work

Ability to undertake and/or manage the repair and maintenance of brewery equipment

Great communication skills and a desire to train and mentor junior team members

Appreciation of beer styles and culture

All the givens of a great brewer - attention to detail, cleanliness and timeliness

Qualifications

Brewing related qualifications or currently studying

Cicerone qualifications or beer judging experience

RSA

Forklift License

Drivers License
