About the role

IDEA Innovative Disability Engagement Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a casual Female Disability Support Worker to join our team based in Point Frederick, NSW. In this role, you will provide high-quality, individualised care and support to individuals with complex needs, helping them to live independently and reach their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

Provide personal care and support with daily living activities

Assist with mobility, including transfers and positioning

Deliver therapeutic and recreational activities tailored to individual needs

Advocate for clients and communicate with families, healthcare providers and other stakeholders

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Contribute to the development and implementation of client care plans

Ensure a safe, clean and comfortable living environment for clients

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services or a related field

Demonstrated experience in providing complex care and support to individuals with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Commitment to promoting client independence, choice and control

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check

Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities is required
