AWX is currently recruiting for an experienced Leading Hand to join a major project in the Redland Bay area. This is a long-term opportunity, with up to 6 years of ongoing work for the right candidate.

About the Role
As a Leading Hand, you'll play a key role in supervising civil works and pipe installation crews. You'll be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This position will see you working closely with site supervisors, trades, and labour hire crews to keep projects running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
·Oversee daily site operations and supervise pipe laying crews
·Coordinate and lead labour hire staff, ensuring productivity and performance
·Monitor progress and report to site management
·Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements
·Assist with planning, scheduling, and problem-solving on site
·Work hands-on as required to support the team

Requirements
·Minimum 3 years' experience in a Leading Hand or Supervisory role in civil construction
·Strong knowledge of pipework supervision (stormwater, sewer, water)
·Solid understanding of labour hire processes and workforce coordination
·HR licence or plant tickets highly regarded (but not essential)
·Ability to read plans and check levels/grades advantageous
·Strong communication and leadership skills
·Safety-first attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
