Business: Weitj Investments
Location: Brand New Offices in Fremantle, WA
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid | Immediate Start Preferred
About Weitj Investments
Weitj Investments is a proudly Aboriginal-owned enterprise group based in Fremantle, WA. Our mission is to lead with cultural strength, business integrity and innovation across sectors that create real, lasting impact for Aboriginal communities.
Our group includes:
EON Protection – a national security and training company
Gather Hospitality Group – a native food wholesale, manufacturing and venue management business
Gather Foundation – a values-led not-for-profit that empowers Aboriginal leadership, participation and protection in the Australian native food industry
In 2024, in response to increasing exploitation of the unregulated native food sector, our founder launched the Gather Foundation as a powerful vehicle to ensure Aboriginal knowledge holders and businesses lead the future of Australia’s native food economy.
We’re now seeking a high-performing Executive Assistant to support the Group Managing Director, enabling focus on strategic priorities and the continued growth of these culturally grounded, high-impact businesses.
About the Role
As Executive Assistant, you'll provide critical support to the Managing Director, acting as a gatekeeper, organiser, communicator, and coordinator across our leadership group. This is a key role that ensures Weitj Investments runs smoothly at the top – supporting strategic decision-making, operational accountability, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Calendar & Travel Management: Proactively manage the Managing Director’s schedule, travel and meetings to ensure optimal time use and strategic focus
Information Flow & Follow-up: Track key decisions, manage workflows, and ensure timely updates and actions are completed across business units
Governance & Reporting: Coordinate board submissions, divisional reports and governance documents in partnership with CEOs of EON Protection, Gather Hospitality and the Gather Foundation
Communication Support: Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing notes, and stakeholder correspondence
Weekly CEO Reporting: Ensure timely, accurate weekly reports from each division and consolidate for executive use
Operational Streamlining: Identify ways to improve admin processes, templates and systems across business units
Executive Support Culture: Foster a respectful, collaborative and service-oriented culture through professional and confidential support
What You Bring
Demonstrated experience supporting C-suite or Managing Directors, especially across multi-entity environments
Exceptional time management, prioritisation and problem-solving skills
Strong governance capability, including the ability to coordinate board and executive-level reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High integrity and discretion with confidential and culturally sensitive information
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Outlook, Excel with formulas/pivots, PowerPoint, Word) and Teams
Ability to build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders
A values-driven mindset with cultural respect and an interest in Aboriginal self-determination
Desirable:
Exposure to not-for-profits, social enterprise or values-based organisations
Understanding of business planning or project coordination (timelines, risks, dependencies)
Familiarity with reporting frameworks and continuous improvement approaches
What We Offer
A stunning new headquarters in Fremantle, co-located with like-minded ventures
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements, supporting wellbeing and balance
A rare opportunity to work across security, hospitality, and community sectors
Career growth within a dynamic and expanding Aboriginal-led business group
Participation in innovative and nation-building projects
A workplace that prioritises inclusion, culture, leadership and real-world impact
Access to wellness programs, mental health support and staff development pathways
How to Apply
