This Global Brand who has held a presence in Australia for over 50 years and the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of dewatering pumps is seeking an experience Sales Representative for its Perth Branch.
Reporting to the WA Territory Manager this Sales role will be focused on the WA Goldfields and be a key driver of revenue growth and customer success by leveraging technical expertise to deliver high-impact surface dewatering solutions within the mining industry.
Regular travel to remote mining sites across WA Goldfields.
This role is primarily sales-focused, requiring a proactive, customer-oriented mindset to develop relationships, identify opportunities, and close deals.
Responsibilities include:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining sector by providing technically sound and commercially competitive dewatering solutions.
Develop strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor by understanding their operational needs and offering tailored pump systems and services.
Deliver compelling technical presentations, proposals, and quotations that effectively communicate product value and solution fit.
Achieve and exceed sales targets through a consultative sales approach, negotiating contracts and managing the full sales cycle from opportunity to order.
Conduct site visits and technical assessments to define customer requirements, recommend system improvements, and ensure product suitability.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and aftermarket teams to scope and deliver end-to-end pump packages that align with customer expectations.
Support post-sales technical troubleshooting and optimisation, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying follow-on sales opportunities.
You will need:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical (or related) Engineering, or relevant trade qualifications with demonstrated field expertise.
Minimum 2 years of experience in pump systems, preferably with sales responsibility in the mining or industrial sectors.
Proven success in technical sales, business development, or solution engineering roles.
Sound understanding of pump systems, hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and mining operations.
Results-driven with sound sales negotiation and influencing skills.
Sound technical aptitude combined with commercial mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
Great problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Proficient in tender submissions and CRM tools.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative global team.
Valid driver's licence with ability to travel to remote mining sites
