The Role

You will be a Security Engineer and play a key role in protecting clients against evolving cyber threats. In this hands-on role, you'll respond to alerts and incidents, manage vulnerabilities and contribute to the design and implementation of security controls.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, tune, and action security alerts and reports
• Respond to incidents and remediate vulnerabilities in client environments
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls (e.g. application control, email filtering)
• Work with M365 security capabilities, including Defender, Entra (Azure AD), Conditional Access and Intune
• Create and maintain security documentation, reports, and processes
• Provide clear communication of risks, issues, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

This is primarily a WFH role, however, candidates do need to be Melbourne based with the requirement to attend the office on an ad-hoc basis.

Your Profile

You will have experience in a Security Engineer or Senior SOC Analyst role, ideally with Service Desk experience as a foundation. In addition, you will have:

• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Defender and the M365 security stack
• Strong knowledge of incident response, EDR, SIEM and vulnerability management
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

Highly Regarded Certifications

• Microsoft SC-200 / SC-300
• OffSec, Hack the Box, TryHackMe, or SANS
• Azure Administrator / AWS Cloud Practitioner
• CCNA / CCNP
