Environmental Coordinator | Mid-Tier Civil Contractor | TFNSW & Civil projects

About the role:

Are you passionate about driving environmental outcomes? Unify Recruitment are partnering with one of Sydney's leading mid tier contractors who due to repeat business and recent award of some exciting infrastructure and transport projects are recruiting for an Environmental Coordinator to join the business.

This role will provide on-site support and guidance across all project teams. You’ll play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, sustainability, and best practice are embedded into day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain project Environmental Management Plans (EMPs)

Monitor compliance with environmental approvals, permits, and legislation.

Conduct site inspections, audits, and environmental reporting.

Provide training and advice to project teams and subcontractors.

Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders on environmental matters.

Drive initiatives to improve environmental and sustainability performance.

About You:

Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.

Previous experience in civil infrastructure, transport, or construction projects (contractor-side preferred).

Strong knowledge of NSW environmental legislation, regulations, and approval processes.

Excellent communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach.

Ability to work closely with site teams to achieve compliance and positive outcomes.
