- Primary Location: Dubbo (RFS State Training Academy), or alternatively negotiated as Sydney Olympic Park (RFS State Headquarters)
- Frequent travel is required between Dubbo and Sydney Olympic Park locations
- The primary location of Dubbo attracts 5 weeks of annual leave (western zone leave)

What you’ll be doing:
Join our Dubbo-based Operational Training team, responsible for coordinating and delivering a diverse range of training programs, including:
Your primary role:
As the Hazards & Environmental Training Coordinator, you will lead the coordination and delivery of hazards management and environmental training courses for RFS members. Your work will enhance the organisation’s operational capability and promote a culture of continuous improvement across both staff and volunteers.
Other team roles:
- Operational Officer training and induction programs
- Incident Management Team training programs
- Special courses, such as but not limited to: Conduct Prescribe Burn (CPB), Plan Prescribe Burn (PPB)
We are seeking an experienced training professional with a strong background in training delivery and assessment. A solid understanding of emergency services operations and environmental management will ensure you can effectively deliver specialist course content and engage with participants across the RFS.
This role is primarily based in Dubbo, however flexible working arrangements will be considered to base the position at Sydney Olympic Park.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Experience in the coordination and delivery of hazard and environmental training.
- Experience in applying relevant legislation.
- Genuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based community service.
