As a Customer Experience Officer, you’ll be the welcoming face of our libraries and cultural centres – helping customers discover resources, supporting digital literacy, assisting with programs and contributing to a vibrant community hub. Every interaction is an opportunity to create a positive experience and make a difference.
There are currently five (5) casual positions available for immediate commencement. Suitable applicants will be placed in the recruitment pool.
Location: City of Melville Libraries
Salary: Starting at $45.44 (incl 25% casual loading) + 12% Super
Employment Type: Casual, Available to work weekdays, weekends and/or evenings
What You’ll Be Doing
Warmly welcome and assist customers to ensure an exceptional experience
Share knowledge about our services, programs and resources
Support customers with digital tools, technology and training
Assist with events, programs and collection maintenance
Provide administrative support including money handling and reconciliation
Contribute to continuous improvement and bring your own creativity to our lifelong learning culture
What We’re Looking For
A current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
Strong communication and people skills
Confidence using technology to help, train and troubleshoot
A genuine commitment to exceptional customer service
Enthusiasm for reading, learning and engaging with community programs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
