The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for owning and growing a defined territory, with a strong focus on building new business while also nurturing and expanding existing customer partnerships. This is a highly autonomous, field-based position where success is built not only on sales results but also on the quality of relationships you develop with clients and the solutions you bring to their business challenges.
This is not a transactional sales role – you will be engaging with decision-makers across manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and trade sectors to understand their operations and provide tailored solutions that add genuine value. By combining consultative sales skills with hands-on customer support, you will ensure your clients see you as a trusted advisor, not just a supplier.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing growth strategies to acquire new business.
Building and maintaining strong, trust-based client relationships.
Understanding customer requirements and recommending tailored solutions.
Collaborating across teams to ensure seamless delivery of commitments.
Monitoring sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics.
Skills & Experience
You are a dynamic sales professional who thrives on building relationships and delivering results. With a proactive and solutions-driven mindset, you are comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role and are motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact.
You will bring:
Demonstrated success in a Business Development Manager or similar role.
Experience within trade, industrial, or manufacturing markets (e.g., consumables, tools, safety).
Strong capability across the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
A self-starter attitude with a passion for expanding and growing your territory.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Salary & Benefits
Base salary: $80,000 – $105,000 + Super
Car/Car Allowance
Commission
