About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager on a casual basis to help expand our customer base and promote our products and services to key customers in the rail industry. The role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid capacity, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired rail industry professional with established networks and strong knowledge of the Australian rail industry who is looking for flexible, part-time engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and engage potential customers, including rail operators, rolling stock maintainers, and service providers.

Promote the company’s product range and services, with a focus on spare parts, intelligent onboard components, design, manufacturing, global sourcing and overhual services.

Leverage existing industry knowledge and networks to generate new business opportunities.

Support tendering, quoting, and customer proposals as required.

Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the rail industry (essential).

Strong industry network and relationships with operators, maintainers, or suppliers.

A self-motivated and proactive approach with the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Flexibility to work casually and remotely.
