We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PMO Coordinator to support a large-scale business transformation program. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys enabling teams through structure, organisation, and collaboration.
The role
As a PMO Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a portfolio of projects focused on uplifting financial and portfolio management capability. You'll work closely with program leaders, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure frameworks, tools, and reporting processes are embedded and consistently applied across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
- Assist with planning and scheduling by building and maintaining project plans in collaboration with project teams.
- Provide project support and administration, applying agreed delivery methodologies.
- Monitor and track performance against milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Manage project documentation including plans, risk registers, reports, and key artefacts, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Promote consistent PMO practices, guiding teams on processes, tools, and best practice.
- Maintain a central project repository, capturing lessons learned and supporting knowledge sharing.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with business units and stakeholders to enable delivery outcomes.
- Prepare and present reports and briefings for senior and executive decision-making.
- Provide Secretariat support for governance forums, including coordination of agendas, minutes, actions, and governance compliance.
Skills and Experience
- At least two years' experience in project support or PMO coordination, ideally in complex or large-scale environments.
- Practical knowledge of project governance, scheduling, and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
- A collaborative and empathetic approach, helping to create a supportive and inclusive program environment.
Qualifications
- Entry-level project or program management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation, AgilePM Foundation, MSP Foundation, or equivalent).
- Certificate IV in Project Management Practice or Business (or equivalent).
- Training in Agile delivery, governance support, or project coordination tools (Microsoft Project, Planner, Jira) highly regarded.
