Busy and Highly respected Tier 2 Builder are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join the business working on projects up to $400 mil across a range of sectors including Education, Health, Data Centre and Commercial projects.

About The Role

• Capable of managing the tender process from start to finish
• Be responsible for take offs and negotiating with subcontractors
• Receive support from directors of the business
• Develop relationships with clients and key stake-holders

Responsibilities

• Complete cost evaluations, and pricing analysis of quotes.
• Consider and cost preliminary requirements for project delivery.
• Develop project budgets, cost models, and bid proposals, suggesting and assessing cost-saving / VE options.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on scope and costs.
• Monitor market conditions and integrate insights into cost forecasting.
• Complete peer reviews of tender estimates.
• Mentor junior estimators and improve estimating tools and processes.

Your Background

• 8+ years industry experience, ideally in the commercial space
• Understand current rates in the commercial environment
• Ability to communicate with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Eye for detail with take-offs etc
• Must have worked on Tenders over $50 mil
• Have proven relevant experience working for a Tier 1,2 or 3 Builder
• Local experience is required for this role
• Already be in a Senior Estimator position
