Position Title: Chef

Salary Range: $74,000 to $80,000

Location: Lenox Avenue, Shop 9 10/12 Coromandel Parade, Blackwood SA 5051

We are looking for a qualified, experienced and energetic Chef to join our team at Lenox Avenue, Shop 9 10/12 Coromandel Parade, Blackwood SA 5051. Your culinary expertise will ensure that every meal is a delightful experience, tailored to individual preferences and upholding the highest food safety standards.

Position Description:

Full kitchen role with involvement in menu preparation, budgets, stock management, ordering and receiving of supplies.

Preparing, cooking, and seasoning food and monitoring quality of dishes at stages of preparation

Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes

Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities

Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff

Following health and safety requirements and enforcing hygiene regulations.

Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

Train new staff and collaborate with other team members

Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment including freezing and preserving food

To be considered for this role, you should:

Hold an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management

Have at least one year of full time work experience after relevant qualification working as a chef in a fast paced environment

Possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members

Be willing to follow directions and ask questions for clarification if needed

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Be able to work in a fast paced environment; multitask and handle stress

Be able to commit beyond normal working hours as and when required.
