MUNCHKINS EARLY EDUCATION CENTRE
Posted 6 days ago
Munchkins Early Education Centre has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and passionate centre cook to be a member of our early childhood team.
We are seeking an experienced individual who is passionate about providing quality food for our children in our centre. We are committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children. We uphold the National Child Safe Principles and the Queensland Government Child Safe Standards, ensuring that every child is respected, protected and able to thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.
You will be required to have your Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or be willing to complete one as soon as possible and we would prefer an individual who also has their Diploma of Early Education or Cert 3 in Early Education so your role in the centre can be varied and you can have the opportunity to work with the children presenting cooking classes if you desire.
Experience with allergy management and providing allergy safe meals is highly desirable.
Early Childcare qualifications are not essential, but could add a dimension to the role that potentially could bring you great satisfaction as you could also work directly with the children if you are prepared to study.
We would be happy to support you through your Cert 3 in Early Childhood if you have an interest in this area.
We will also ask that you are able to facilitate cooking experiences with the children - so being comfortable running a small group cooking lesson is important but you will always be fully supported by our teaching teams.
Past experience is not necessary, we are happy to support you in transitioning into all elements of the role.
Previous commercial cooking or food preparation experience is preferred but not essential.
You must also be fit and healthy with a shared belief that nutritious food is the foundation for the children's growth and development.
You need to be able to take pride in your work and present quality cooked meals to our children.
Expereince in menu planning for children or willingness to learn nutritional requirement for early childhood is preferred.
We ask that you hold all the mandatory requirements of our legislative guidelines; blue card, first aid, be willing to participate in child protection training, and committed to the centre in a 5 days a week in a long term capacity.
Your resume must have references that we can call upon and a summary of your past experience.
If you feel that this may be the next great opportunity for you, great salary, great team and warm and supportive work environment, and would like the opportunity to interview, send your resume through to;
