canopy Early Education Ormiston, a part of API Leisure and Lifestyle (Qld), is a well-established early learning centre located on Gordon St, Ormiston. With over 30 years of experience as a trusted childcare provider, we are excited to welcome a passionate and dedicated cook to join our team.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about creating amazing, nutritious meals and cooking experiences for children? canopy Ormiston is currently seeking a part-time cook 5 days/week to join our high-performing, stable team.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 75 children with operating hours from 6.30am-6.30pm, delivering all meals from breakfast to a late snack. With a roster that is family friendly, there is the opportunity for further flexibility in start and finish times and to slide across into an educator position at the end of the day.

We are an active child safe organisation with a deep commitment to fostering a child-safe culture that is reflected in our practice, governance, team values and community partnerships.

About the Role:

To be successful in your application, you must have:

Food Safety certificate (completed I'm Alert training)

Being a Food Safety Supervisor is a bonus!

Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control

Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.

Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations

Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
