About the Service

• Service - St Augustine's Long Day Care
• Place - 75 place service
• Peaceful convenient location
• Close to Motorways and public transport
• Huge backyard if you like to sit and relax after work

About the Cook role

• Role - Permanent Full time role
• Hours - 38 hrs per week
• Days - Monday to Friday
• Time - 6.30 am - 2.30 pm
• Pays - $26.42 - $29.95 + Superannuation

What You’ll Do

• Create and deliver nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks aligned with national dietary guidelines.
• Cater for dietary requirements including allergies, intolerances, and cultural needs.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Manage inventory, ordering supplies and reducing food waste.
• Work with educators to support learning themes and special events through food.
• Encourage healthy habits through engaging food experiences for children and families.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience as a chef, ideally in early childhood, schools, or aged care settings.
• Cert III in relevant studies would be desirable
• Strong understanding of child nutrition and meal planning.
• Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
• A warm, team-oriented approach and passion for children’s wellbeing.
