As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices, preparing payments, and maintaining vendor records.
• Raising invoices, issuing statements, and following up on outstanding debts.
• Bank, credit card, payroll, and client account reconciliations.
• Assisting with contractor timesheets, expense claims, and weekly pay runs.
• Maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end reporting, and assisting with BAS/ATO compliance.
• Responding to queries from clients and contractors regarding invoices, payments, and accounts.
• Supporting the finance team with general accounting and administrative tasks.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in accounts payable/receivable or an assistant accounting role (labour hire or recruitment industry experience highly regarded).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, or similar).
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with both clients and contractors.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the broader team.
