About the role
An exciting immediate start role with a globally recognisable FMCG / Retail organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Finance Manager role will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities. Initially this will be a 6 month contractual assignment, however there is the genuine view for this role to be extended and/or made permanent.

The responsibilities
Reporting directly into the CFO, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

• Management of the full accounting and month-end processes
• Manage a small, high-performing team of staff
• Business partner with key divisional teams on financial results
• Prepare and submit the BAS, IAS and FBT for the Group
• Assist in annual statutory audit by preparing the necessary account reconciliations and liaising with the external auditor.
• Monthly overhead analysis and commentary
• Ad-hoc projects as and when required
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process and efficiency

The successful applicant will have
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, must enjoy being hands-on with the work and have worked in a large, complex and dynamic organisation previously.
