Finance Manager

• NSW Government - 6 Month Temporary Assignment
• Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid Working)
• Rate: $900 per day

The role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a NSW Government department on a 6-month contract. Based in the Sydney CBD with flexible hybrid working, this role will play a key part in supporting financial operations and ensuring compliance across critical functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support departmental planning.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and expense analysis.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of BAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Build strong relationships with a broad range of external stakeholders.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role, ideally within government or large, complex organisations.
• Strong technical expertise in management reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
• Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise across multiple levels.
• Highly organised, with the ability to deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• SAP experience
