We are looking for a switched on, experienced compliance officer to join our Development & Regulatory Services team.

Working directly with the departmental Manager, the role will promote safe communities by leading Council’s compliance activities around animal management and local nuisance & litter and assisting with buildings and development.

Your focus will be on informing and educating residents, ensuring high levels of awareness of regulatory requirements.

Based at Jamestown but working across the district, you will be expected to have a high level of understanding of relevant legislation, preferably in a local government context, and a great ability to communicate with community members and decision makers.

Council will offer an attractive remuneration commensurate to the experience and qualifications of the sucessful candidate at either a Level 7 or Level 8 of the SA Salaried Municipal Officers Award and the associated Northern Areas Council (ASU) Enterprise Agreement.
