The Role

As Safety Officer, you will be integral in maintaining a strong on-site safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving proactive risk management. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting site inductions, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Leading ICAM and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions
• Overseeing crane and high-rise safety procedures in line with legislative requirements
• Supporting site teams to embed best-practice WHS systems and processes
• Acting as the key point of contact for all safety matters across the project

The Like Mind

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Officer with:

• 2–3 years experience in a similar role within commercial construction
• Background in apartment builds and crane safety highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management
• Certificate IV in WHS (minimum), with additional safety qualifications an advantage
• ICAM or incident investigation experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across site teams
