The Role:
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and has a genuine love for Greek cuisine. You'll take creative and operational ownership of the kitchen, driving excellence in food quality, consistency, cost control, team management, and kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor and develop the kitchen team

Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and consistency

Innovate and evolve our menu while staying true to traditional Greek flavours

Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and budgeting

Ensure compliance with food safety and OH&S standards

Work closely with the executive team on business strategy, menu development, and seasonal promotions

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a busy restaurant environment

Strong understanding of Greek or Mediterranean cuisine (experience in Greek cooking preferred)

A natural leader with excellent communication and team-building skills

A passion for high-quality produce and seasonal, fresh ingredients

Ability to work under pressure with calm and focus

Understanding of kitchen financials including COGS and labour control
