Position overview
The Australian Climate Service seeks a skilled Communications Officer to assist with coordination and delivery of internal and external communications activities for the Australian Climate Service.
Reporting to the Communications Lead, the Communications Officer will support the development of communication plans and strategies, draft content for a range of channels, assist with website maintenance, support internal and external communications activities, and assist with communication administrative tasks as needed.
Role responsibilities
- The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Communications Support: Assist in the coordination and implementation of internal and external communications activities. This may include drafting announcements, creating newsletters, social media and/or intranet content, and supporting the organisation of events and engagement activities.
- Content Creation: Assist in the development of content for various communications channels, such as technical reports, website, presentations, social media, newsletters, factsheets, and other communications material. This includes the writing, editing and proofreading content to ensure that it aligns with the ACS' brand guidelines and communications strategy.
- Branding and Visual Support: Assist in maintaining consistent branding across communications material, which may include creating and updating templates, ensuring brand guidelines are followed, and supporting the development of visual assets for the ACS.
