About the Role

The Finance Officer will primarily be responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable. You will join the College’s administration team to support them in a permanent part-time capacity. The days of work are flexible, with set hours of 8am – 4pm. This role will be of vital importance in ensuring smooth processing of all financial transactions and accounts duties, alongside high-quality administration service to staff, students, and families. Salary range of $78,987 - $89,499 FTE is on offer, dependant on candidate skills and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure all college payments are paid in a timely manner and in accordance with college budgets.

Handle school fee billings, debtor management, and concession arrangements, ensuring timely communication with families

Liaise with suppliers, manage purchase orders, and maintain accurate financial records

Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GST and DOSCEL requirements

Assist with budget monitoring, administration overflow, and general finance-related tasks

Uphold College policies, particularly in relation to child safety and confidentiality

Skills and Experience

Proven experience in accounts payable/receivable or a similar finance role

Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check or willingness to obtain
