Masala Aitkenvale is now offering a Chef position. The position will be on full-time basis with a salary ranging from $70,000-$80,000 a year plus superannuation. We offer a world class service and quality food to our customers.

We are seeking a chef with strong knowledge of Indian and Asian cuisines. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare authentic dishes, bring creativity to the kitchen, and regularly develop innovative recipes to expand and improve our menu offerings.

Qualifications & experience

A certificate III in commercial cookery required.

Must have 5 years of full-time experience in a high pace restaurant.

Well Knowledgeable regarding the menu of an Indian and Asian restaurant.

Should be able to work in a busy environment

Must be available on weekends and public holidays.

Tasks & responsibilities

Full-time position available.

Must have a great Knowledge of Indian Menu.

Manage the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation.

Maintain clean and healthy environment at all times in the Kitchen.

Help in setting the menu with the manager

Help the other staff with new training techniques.

Should follow HACCP procedures and safe work practices.

Should manage the cost of supplies required for food.

Competitive salary between $70,000 - $80,000 will be paid yearly.
