Sidewalk Café in Airlie Beach is searching for a Chef who is passionate about creating unforgettable culinary experiences. What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting the Head Chef in creating seasonal menus that showcase bold flavours, fresh, high-quality ingredients, and innovative dishes.

Modern Australian cuisine experience is essential for this role.

Assisting in leading and developing the kitchen team, helping to build them into a strong, high-performance crew that supports our shared vision.

Section leadership experience is required for this position.

Ensuring smooth kitchen operations during your shifts, from prep to service, while maintaining consistency and high standards.

Mentoring and training junior staff, fostering a positive kitchen culture that values growth, teamwork, and excellence.

Supporting stock management, suppliers, and COGS, ensuring efficiency without compromising quality or creativity.

Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Who We're Looking For:

Minimum of 3-4 years professional chef experience is required.

Someone who understands kitchen operations, cost control, and delivering consistently great food.
