You can be good anywhere. Here, you can be great.
Your opportunity
The Study Well team provides essential services that support inclusion, learning support and student success across the University. As Senior Inclusion Support Advisor, you will coordinate and mentor a small team, combining your leadership and frontline service delivery to shape how Southern Cross University supports students with disability, long-term illness, mental health conditions, or caring responsibilities. Alongside a personal caseload, you will contribute to and lead projects arising from the University’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan, influencing real and lasting change to ensure students are provided the opportunity to achieve success.
You will make an impact by:
- Coordinating, mentoring and developing the Inclusion Support team, ensuring quality service delivery and continuous improvement
- Managing a caseload (20–40%) of students with diverse and complex needs, overseeing adjustments and inclusive learning strategies
- Driving change initiatives through the Disability Inclusion Action Plan, including new processes, training and frameworks
- Building staff capability across the University through disability awareness training and inclusive practice workshops
What you will bring
You are a dedicated allied health professional with extensive experience in the disability sector and a passion for creating inclusive learning environments. With strong leadership skills, you thrive on supporting others, solving complex problems, and driving meaningful change.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational therapy, nursing, allied health, mental health, social work, disability studies, or a related field
- Proven experience in disability services, inclusive education practices and accommodations (higher education experience regarded, but not essential)
- Strong supervisory and mentoring skills, with the ability to upskill and influence staff, including our Faculty partners
- Experience managing complex caseloads, using assessment tools and recommending reasonable adjustments
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead initiatives that improve systems, processes services and student outcomes
