I will own my voice. Support others. Stand firm in values. Ready to take the next step in your career while making a real difference every day? Northcott is seeking a passionate and proactive Senior Support Worker to lead and grow our North Parramatta Day Program in a permanent full-time role. You'll be part of an inclusive and welcoming team environment—where 90% of staff say they enjoy their work—and have the opportunity to create meaningful impact in the lives of people with disability. We also offer a fantastic range of employee benefits, including salary packaging, discounted gym memberships, health insurance, and more.

About Northcott:

At Northcott, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live life their way. As a not-for-profit disability service provider, we support people with disability to explore possibilities, achieve goals, and live the life they choose.

With more than 90 years of experience and a strong presence across NSW, QLD and the ACT, Northcott is one of Australia’s largest and most trusted disability service organisations. Every year, we provide people with a disability, along with their families and carers, with personalised and empowering support.

We are a registered NDIS provider employing more than 3,000 dedicated staff across metropolitan and regional locations.

What I Will Be Doing:

Join us in supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and build the life they choose—full of purpose, independence, and joy.

As a Senior Support Worker in our North Parramatta Day Program, I will:

  • Support the day-to-day running of programs and activities focused on Everyday Life Skills, Work and Study, Adult and Teen Recreation, and School Holidays programs.
  • Work closely with the Coordinator to support the team's success, stepping up when needed.
  • Facilitate group activities such as art, drama, music, and gardening to engage and inspire customers.
  • Assist with administration tasks, including WHS audits (fire drills, site safety inspections) to ensure a safe environment.
  • Help plan and review customer programs, providing guidance to other support workers and ensuring that the programs meet customer needs.
  • Assist with rostering in Niara, and help cover duties when the Coordinator is absent.
  • Be available from 8 am to 4 pm, ensuring consistent support throughout the day.

I will support people with disability to achieve their goals and live with independence and dignity. I lead with confidence, communicate clearly, solve challenges effectively, and build strong relationships. I'm proactive, driven, and always focused on outcomes.

About you:

I believe in potential, not limits. I will:

  • Create moments that foster confidence, independence, and growth.
  • Offer encouragement alongside assistance, always focusing on building self-esteem.
  • Show up with patience and consistency, understanding that every step forward matters.
  • Recognise that learning comes in many forms, and approach each person’s journey with openness and respect.
  • Listen, learn, and adapt to support the unique needs of each individual.
  • Create a safe, respectful space where people feel seen, valued, and supported in their personal growth.
  • Be adaptable, reliable, and ready to encourage growth, no matter the challenge.
  • Value diversity and embrace the strength in difference, ensuring every person feels respected and empowered.

Why do I want this role at Northcott?

  • 5 Weeks Annual Leave: Enjoy generous time off to recharge and maintain balance
  • Wellness Perks: Fitness Passport and reduced insurance.
  • Perkbox: Access everyday savings, discounts, and wellbeing resources — our way of supporting you beyond the pay packet.
  • Salary Packaging: I increase my take-home pay through packaging options, including $15,900 and $2,650 for meals/entertainment.
  • 13 Days Sick Leave: I take the time I need to recover, with paid leave when unwell
  • Paid Maternity Leave: I feel supported through life’s key moments with 14 weeks of paid leave after 12 months.
  • Learning and career advancement opportunities, and you will have your contributions valued.
